It is clear after many years of talking to my weight-loss clients, that they are usually extremely knowledgeable about food, and understand the need to exercise. However, it has also become apparent that sometimes, in order to LOSE WEIGHT AND STAY THERE we have to look beyond eating sensibly, and incorporate exercise into our lives.
To enable a healthy relationship with food we need, above all, to have a healthy relationship with ourselves.
All too often, we:
- Eat instead of properly managing stress
- Lack real motivation to exercise and make changes
- Eat for emotional comfort
- Lack awareness of our unconscious habits and needs
- Ignore, or are even unaware of, the sensations of a full stomach
